Anyone using this?

Pros/cons?

Thinking about using this for a couple clients. Seems pretty straight forward, but interested in anyones feedback on this.

Joe

It is not as good as commercial products as Indy basically makes an image file of everything so it isn't text searchable. Plus it can only be put on Adobe servers and it uses up your cloud storage space if you get a lot of stuff up there and you have no control of the files except to put them there and delete them. But it does a decent job of rendering the content correctly. I use it for some of our customer instructions for Insite (that they never look at).

For our commercial products we use FLIPHTML5. We bought the $999 lifetime Enterprise version. We use it quite a bit to make customer digital publications (and we charge them for it).

Thanks Joe. That product looks great! We've been using iPaper for quite some time, but they changed their pricing structure last year and it's just not worth the cost to us anymore. How long have you been using FLIPHTML5?

Joe

Probably close to a year. If you get the Enterprise product and install the windows version you can create Android apps too. There is a Mac version also but it has less features than the Windows version. I actually use the Mac version more as usually we are just creating a normal flipbook for customers.

They do have a free version you can run some files through to see if you might want to get it.

Oh one thing about it though. You can only use one custom domain per account. If you have a customer that wants you to host the files and use their domain name you have to create a separate account to be able to do that. We have one customer that is wanting to do just that so if he pulls the trigger on it we will have to create a new account and of course bill him for it.
