Hi all

Anyone having an issue where the objects are not pasted in the same position when moved between pages or documents?

There's an easy fix, but I'm just wondering if people are suffering in silence?

DigiCorn

Actually, I use the copy from one document and replace in a new document, and the replace feature isn't performing as expected. Sometimes it adds extra space and sometimes it rotates for no reason. See screenshots:

"There's been a lot of research recently on how hard it is to dislodge an impression once it's been implanted in someone's mind. (This is why political attack ads don't have to be true to be effective. The other side can point out their inaccuracies, but the voter's mind privileges the memory of the original accusation, which was juicier than any counterargument ever could be.)"

I think you set these to zero.

I'll be damned, that actually makes sense. Thanks, Corn.

NP, DCS. I think that's been there for several iterations of PS. I do LOTS of cut and paste and copy – replace in PS.

Also, since I've gone to 12, I have this problem where I can use the select tool within a document, but sometimes if I leave to work on another file, and then come back in, I lose the ability to use the selection tool. I have to save the file, exit, and re-open the file (no shutdown of Acro is necessary). Running Acro 11.0.07 on Mac OS 10.6.8 with PS 12u2, FP 9.2.26 and PDFLib Blocks 5.0

I have to copy and paste shit all the time in the exact same position, didn't realize it was that easy to fix. I figured it was just an Enfocus oversight. It does work, so that will add some years to my life.

@Digicorn. Is this something that is reproduceable?
IF you can give me any files and a scenario when it happens repeatedly I will throw it at our QA/Dev team to fix.

If not I will still log it, but it makes it easier to find if it's something we can reproduce inhouse.

Happens every file, every time.

Problem #1 - Replace feature produces unexpected results. Has nothing to do with stuff in the pasteboard, or rotation. As you can see by the handles in the photo, I only have those items selected, and you can see the result.

I can email you the logo I am using and the file I am swapping the logo out in. I usually just delete the bad logo, paste the new logo, resize and position by eye.

Problem #2 - Problem only occurs when using the selection tool. If I ever leave the file I am working on, tool ceases function upon return to file.

I don't know that sending any specific file will show this. It happens every file, every time.

Again, I am running the following plug-ins: PS 12u2, FusionPro 9.2.26 and PDFLib Blocks 5.0 with Acro 11.0.07 on Mac OS 10.6.8

I did have a conflict/install problem with PS at first. I already had FusionPro installed, and PS wouldn't work (locked up). I worked with Enfocus support, and eventually we determined that PS had to be installed first and then FusionPro (FP). We wiped out all preferences, uninstalled and removed Acro XI, PS, FP and PDF Lib Blocks. Then rebooted and did a clean install of Acro XI, PS, FP, and PDF Lib Blocks in that order, with rebooting in between each install.

I don't think it is reproduceable but it happens a lot in both Acrobat X and XI. If I just open up another file it will work again. But it probably is not a Pitstop problem but an Acrobat problem because it affects every tool in the toolbar. Not just the Pitstop ones.

Replace will scale the pasted item to the same size as the item you are replacing. I have requested this to have an option where you can make it either replace the way it does now or to replace without scaling. Any news on that request ABC?

Yeah, it used to rescale, which I wanted, and liked. But you saw in the screenshot it wasn't even doing that.

In photo 3, it's all squished, and out of position. It looks like it picked up some superfluous crap in the pasteboard that doesn't really exist, and added it, thus creating fake negative space above it... but it still isn't rescaling to the size of the image it's supposed to be replacing.

Oh, was looking at the wrong post.

It appears it is scaling un-proportionately because your source and target are not the same proportionately.
