Anyone use or know anything about this software?

What is everyone using to store their plates before going to press?

Right now we have an old metal rack and the complaint is the plates are to heavy to remove from the top shelf.

My 2007 imac has finally given up the ghost and I'm looking to replace it. Should I go another imac or possibly a mini and where would you buy?

I'm needing to replace our old Roland Quadra we use for printing clear film (using fast dry Aspect film).

Will also need to do stamping/emboss files on it occasionally so I need something stable (low distortion as it goes through the printer).

What is everyone using for this?

I rejected a customer file because I thought it was sent in as RGB.

Just started happening.

Is anyone reading LAB values of CMYK builds on press?

So this comes up about once a year when the pressroom prints long for some reason and they always bring up "why don't we distort our printing plates" to which I reply because that's an asinine idea.

Is anyone doing this on a regular basis?

Almost unusable on larger files. Takes FOREVER to load the file. Anyone else having this?

Have a friend working at a web shop and he is looking for web specific marks to monitor press sheets. Anyone have any idea where I might find something like this?

We are a sheetfed folding carton plant, we have an ink tech in and is question our rotation. What is everyone using?

We are running CMYK but he is saying 95% of plants run KCMY.

We have a new person working at a big customer who has no printing experience  and I am looking for some resources to send to her. I used to have a great site that went over screening, imposition, basic color theory etc.. but now I can't find the page.

We've been on it for 6 months testing and with the latest official release we are running it 100% now.

We have an ancient Misomex table we are using to cut blankets and I have sunk to much money into it. Looking for something to replace it. Naturally they aren't going to let me have a Kongsberg so I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive to just use for cutting blankets.

Any suggestions?

We have a facility that has closed and they have something called an intellitrax M6000.

Now obviously I know what an intellitrax is but have no idea what the M6000 designation is.

Anyone have curves in Symphony that they need in IE Curve Pilot? Been told to just manually key them in....screw that. I can take curves generated in Curve 3 software and save out a .TED file and import them directly just need to know who to go from Symphony to Curve Pilot. Any idears?

See screen shot. If you turn overprint preview on it goes away. Any idea what this is indicating?

What are you paying your plate makers, just plate making nothing else except for maybe cutting blankets?

Does anyone even have just straight platemakers anymore?
