My compadre keeps getting this popping up when he has PDFs open.

Any clues as to how to kill it?

As it says it needs to use the "Local Items" in your keychain. Putting in the password will grant it access and eliminate the message. It is a whole other discussion about why software needs access to your keychain though. A lot of software anymore asks for access for certain security options. It seems each iteration of Mac OS updates makes it worse.
