Quote from: Possum on February 06, 2012, 02:58:02 PMOh, and about your digital press? If any of your product goes through the mail, you don't want to get a press with inkjets. One raindrop ruins the piece.
My Riso inkjet presses won't... they use oil based inks, not water based like most of the others....but it won't print on coated stock either!

one wonders where Duffy works that they have such an animal.

Out in Franklin Park - sitting right behind me.

Macintosh / Do not install latest Apple Security Update.
February 02, 2012, 12:00:02 PM
Do not install Apples latest security update issued yesterday... It breaks all print dialogs as well as file save dialogs in Rosetta Applications... these include all Rampage clients below 12.1B10 as well as the Print dialog in Preps 5

Need to look at alot more than just impressions and up time to make a really good choice.

Where is the expected growth coming from to pay for a new machine and what will that client(s) expect?
Media types and number of changes per day?
Speed of equipment?
Do you want to go with what is out there and proven or something like the newest Xerox that is hitting the market now?
Do you need to print white?
How does it fit into your existing workflow?
Toner or inkjet (like the Fuji inkjet press or Oce webs vs IGen, Nexpress, etc...)?
Budget - looking at hundreds of thousands to a couple of million to spend?

Just a few random thoughts before just throwing names at you of equipment.
