HI,
Can anyone tell me whether the transparency problems experienced when created a pdf from indesign are soley related to flattening within the software or could be caused by a Rip.
I have a job that has a spot colour background with an indesign picture box filled with colour on top. the box has outer glow effect. Now I know there are issues with regards to transparencies on spot colours but what I want to know is why when I pdf straight from indesign to using level postscript I get the problem.
However when I create a .ps file first then drop that into distiller (using the exact same job options) there is no problem.
Also if I pdf to a higher level the picture box changes the colour of the spot below it slightly so that you can see the box!
I hope this makes sense.
