Running Nexus 9 to a trendsetter. Have been using Symphony Calibrator to calibrate plate. Does not play nice with newer Mac OS. Is there a free-standing plate calibration solution out there?

We use Flexi Print, and not too happy with it. Boss wants to get into vehicle wraps. What kinda rip is good?

Looking for a huge favor. We're considering a Xitron Sierra RIP to replace our older Nexus 9.5. We are starting to print a lot of large sports posters, full coverage, lots of type, transparency, you name it. They tie up the nexus way long. (Running on Win Server 2003, 4 gigs ram, so not too powerful). Would any Sierra user consider running a sample file on their rip to see how long it would take? Usual Golden Rocket Pony prize is involved.

Anyone have it? What was the cost? Currently we have 4 licenses for FusionPro desktop. Any good reason to upgrade to VDP Producer?

Have an HP 5100 near the end of it's life (it's been real dependable). Need 11x17 and envelope capability. And, of course, a good price.

Got a pdf file produced in Quark 8. All is well. Then, client gave me a new one, with text edits. The color on the new one is very bad, first one was OK. When I compared a wireframe of the 2 files, something jumped out at me. See attachment. (original on left, new on right) The only time I've seem graphics butchered like that are PDF's from powerpoint. Anyone want to hazard a guess what happened?

Can you run the same license on your laptop and desktop? I did with earlier versions, just couldn't have them open at the same time.

Anyone know how much a license for Xerox VIPP runs?

We print numbered sports tickets in runs up to 100,000. I'm looking for a variable data solution that can ouput ppml files, imposed. Xmpie is the closest to what I want, but there are few imposition controls (the arts bleeds, but press sheets need to be bus cut; xmpie cannot do this). Anyone with an idea? We're trying to get away from sending 5000 page documents to our xerox 1000/Fiery rip.

Dolphian is the offender. My usual workaround in ID is save page as high-resolution jpg, then pdf that. Not this time, it's on every page of a book.

Got 17000 pages I set up using data merge. Customer OK'd sample, then, AFTER I'd done all of it, decided to move 3 lines of type. You can imagine how I felt about that.... In any event, is there any way to automate that so I don't have to start from scratch?

Nexus 9.5.2. New WF (duplicated and edited a working one). When I drop a file into the hot folder I get the error message
 - The file file://nexuspdf/Nexus_Hotfolders/40_unocated/JDFMarksFlats/(job name).pdf does not exist.
It shows the JDFMarksFlats folder being created but when I open the HF it's not there. No service contract is why I'm posting here.

Got a brochure from a client - 72 dpi RGB jpegs. Did an epson proof, looked about how you might expect. He came back with his own inkjet printouts, and asked why they looked better than my proofs. How to explain to him?

Nexus 9.5.2 pdf workflow
Starting last Friday, could not expand jobs using Nexus Manager on mac. Queues, workflows, etc all show up OK, but when we double-click on a job in the queue, we get a blank window.
We can reveal in finder, etc, but not see or edit files by double-clicking. It's the same on all workstations, even the one that has the Neo dongle.

We've started getting into doing sports tickets. Layout in ID, data merge, save as pdf. Output on Xerox 770. Works OK for smaller, less complicated ones, but it's kind of a make-do. How do the big ticket houses do it, anyone with insight?
