We have version 5. Finding a price for 6 is impossible. Anyone have a clue on this?
I think we paid in the neighborhood of $500 or so to go from 4 to 5 about 4 years ago, so I'd say with inflation between $550 and $750 would be expected.
My guess in $2500 for an upgrade. Or more. No real facts though.
$2500 is what we call around here a "KMU" (Kodak Monetary Unit).
Can you imagine the cost if they supplied the lube?
actually, it was a free upgrade for us. So check with your Kodak rep. Upgrade did not include upgrading all seats to Pro, that was $1500 a seat more.
Ours was free too but I think that was just because we had bought Preps 5 right about the time Preps 6 came out.
we've had preps 5 since it was new

Oops...I meant "Ours was free too but I think that was just because we had bought
Prinergy 5 right about the time Preps 6 came out."
jeez what took you so long?
We were using Nexus before we bought Prinergy.
We've had 5 since it was released. It's kinda problematic in a pdf workflow.
I'm still guessing in the $2500 range.
For $2500 I'd rather buy a motorcycle.
Well, a motorcycle won't impose pages. I couldn't live without Preps. Well, I could but it would make prepress more difficult.
Gutenberg didn't have Preps and he typeset a Bible, FFS.
Not for a web press he didn't.

These (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rygEoDBg7zI) are about that price. Won't impose pages, by the looks. :undecided:
that's not quite a motorcycle, but they are very very cool for what they are!
Just over $3K here. Not bad. Well, Mad...
