sRGB or something else for the RGB working space in the color settings for CS apps.
Wondering if there is a consensus out there on this. Have read a lot of different opinions about Adobe RGB having to big of a gamut to convert over to CMYK.

We use sRGB IEC61966-2.1 which is the CS6 default. No train wrecks that I know of because of it. But we're not "color critical".

From your previous announcements on your environment, Joe, "not 'color critical'" should have been followed by a    ---->

There's no perfect answer but the ideal setting will depend on the type of work you're getting and printing.

If you're getting a lot of high-end photography which is shot in RAW and converted to Adobe1998 by the Photographer, stick with Adobe1998.

However, if most of your stuff comes in sRGB (default on most digital cameras), there's no advantage to assigning the photo a higher gamut colorspace.

We mostly send any old rgb to our copiers digital printers along with cmyk elements.  Sometimes if a photo isn't bright enough I'll use the rgb version.  We are not colour critical either but there is trouble sometimes when a job comes back and we have to match the colours.  Our old Kodak 240s never print the same colours twice, no matter what we do.  Sometimes if it's raining outside we have a better chance.

Thank god the days of rgb coming out greyscale are gone.
