Kinda of academic at this point, as I went the "hard route" but let's play a game!

Excel file comes in for a VDP job, has about 30+ Sheets in it and they all need to be separated out for the VDP software to create individual PDFs after merging. Easy way?

All my Googling led to VB Scripts (none of which worked) and python scripts which I didn't even attempt. Couple of standalone apps too, but aside from copy-pasting all of the Sheet info into new Docs, got any tricks?

I bet there's a way, I reached out to a power user and asked...
I played around for a minute and did not see an easy way.

oK, best I got is a little quicker and a lot safer than copy/paste:
for each sheet - right click and "move or copy"
then pick "new book" and save.
repeat.

Also works similarly in G-sheets, fyi

I don't think you have to copy your data, right click on the sheet tab to save the sheet
If anyone knows how to split the sheets I would be interested too.

I've looked into this before and didn't get anywhere. Really seems like something AppleScript should be able to do but I'm no scripter.

I have used this tool on both Mac and Windows (you really should double check data validity, just in case):
