Let's hope that Adobe's move to turn PDF into an open standard means that there is a bit more time between new releases. I don't think the industry really needs a new PDF flavour every 2 years.

Anything has to better than what's been happening at the ISO regarding OOXML. Another format isn't needed in this case. I'll find a link
