It appears I need to regularly make an unreasonable number of screenshots from a Windows 10 based machine, capturing layouts from a wonky RIP. Currently we're doing Windows + S then draw a rectangle which captures the area, THEN save it. Default Screenshot name is ok, since they're time-stamped.

But the Windows Snip tool doesn't have any options to just Save them in a default location that I can find & I'd rather it be as close to a one-step process as possible.

Whatcha all using?

Not exactly the "one-step process" you wanted, but ... Snip DOES add your latest snip to the pasteboard ... so IF you had a word doc or draft email open you can just alt-tab there and paste the screenshot to that doc/layout, which removes the need to save each snip separately.

Nah, I shoulda been more painfully specific.

Every job imposed for this particular machine gets a screenshot of the overall impo saved (Includes specific template data only visible on the end screen) as well as a few page layouts. For every. Single. Job.

And then they're also printed out (yeah, really) & kept for reference. If it was a Mac-based system it'd be a LOT simpler, but here I am...
