Good Morning everyone,
We have recently acquired a 2008 Heidelberg SM102 with CPC 2000 electronics. The operators touch screen is pretty dim and we would like to make it brighter. However, we can not seem to find any brightness/contrast controls, either hardware or software. Anyone have an idea on how to adjust this?

Hello,
Last week the boss went to look at a press that we may buy. It is currently using Heidelberg Prinect to set up the ink keys and other settings on the press.
I assume that this system uses JDF for these settings. We are using XMF and I think that it can handle JDF export, but I have no experience in this at all.
Can anyone give me a bit of insight on what is required for this? Is a license required on XMF? Would we need something different from Heidelberg (we are not getting the Prinect system with the press)? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

I am researching an issue that popped up with a couple of files and want to get some expert input. I have two different files supplied by the customer that has a CMYK swatch with the build of 72,91,38,28. As far as I can see, there is nothing special with this swatch in either document.

We had a customer requested change to these files. Nothing to do with color. In both of these files, the color build "mysteriously" changed to build 76.078, 94.118, 38.824, 45.098 in both of the Indesign documents. Quite the color shift. The operator that did the changes says he did not change the color, has no clue how it changed, and can recreate the issue.

I only know of two ways for a swatch to change. A script or opening the swatch and changing the colors. Are there other ways? Maybe keyboard shortcuts, or the eyedropper, anything? I don't want to think that the operator did it and is just denying it, but I can not reconcile this happening in two separate documents, to the same swatch color, without it being on purpose.

We are looking for someone full time at our shop. Mid-day to 4pm as offset prepress after that run the Xerox C1000.

Just finished up the XMF install/training Friday. Think I am going to like it. But I do have a quick question. My manager wants me to make a plate with Taffita screening. (Yes we do have the license for it). But when I try to set my screen to Taffita, I get an error that the screen set is not available for the platesetter.

I am sure it has something to do with ColorPath organizer, but what do I need to do to add that screen to my default linear calibration. I do realize that making linear plates with Taffita probably won't work, but I am just trying to appease the manager at the moment.

Look for me to ask lots of question in the near future, and hopefully I will be able to answer some soon.

I am meeting with Fuji on Thursday and getting my proposal. Any questions I should be asking? Not the normal stuff, just stuff you wished you would have asked BEFORE purchasing XMF?

Hello group,
I just joined to ask about moving to XMF. I currently run Screen/Equios workflow and considering moving to XMF instead of upgrading the Screen system. Has anyone here moved from Screen to XMF, if so what are your thoughts.

I would also love to get my hands on a digital copy of the user manual. If anyone would like to share.
