Select by Region

but I successfully change color of an image and then deleted color.
and selected by Region!!!!!

WTH? doing another book but the action isn't working I know the region is different but
not sure what I'm doing wrong
Here is a sample with just the die on a few pages
I took off most of text, notice different die size on the pages
can you be specific on how your selecting region?
The text is changing to magenta not the die when I'm trying it

So you're trying to change the die line to magenta or a magenta colored spot? Object Browser seems to think that die line is on a background image. When I try and select it with the selection tool in Pitstop it grabs the entire background of the page. May not be able to select the die line...or I could have too much blood in my alcohol stream.

 I got it to work on the last book not sure what I'm doing wrong
hmm going to try again tomorrow Not too large of a book

OH, you want to delete it. I thought you wanted to change it's color. I got it to work with defining a region in the bottom center and remove selection. Drew a little rectangle, choose objects inside or overlapping region, and remove selection.

I did want to change the color, my problem is the way I'm selecting the region I think
can you screen shot how you selected region?
actually the action will work for both just have to change to delete instead of change color.
I had 2 actions last time I did it and they worked
what are you drawing the rectangle with? maybe that's my problem

That's what I said in my first answer, I don't think you can select it or change it's color in this one. Looks like the dieline is on an image, not a vector.

Zoom in on the bottom right of the dieline, theres pixelization and artifacting.

hmm I will have to check out my last file maybe my dies were just black and not process and I 
could change them to magenta, oh well it's Friday, I'm done with the job
but I want to understand what I'm doing wrong.

Here ya go. Nothing fancy. This removed the entire background image.

The reason for the color change as a first step was to see what is going to be deleted in the next step. Just a way of checking for undesired collateral damage.
