Has anyone done a Sign with Braille?
I found a braille font but it looks like you can't type a hyphen
I have 27 signs and they are the signs that say 223-227 with an arrow pointing which way to go
can you type an arrow in braille?

Going to ask cust questions but thought I would figure out the basics first
might be obvious but the braille will be raised

David

you know there are different kinds of Braille.

We have done some signs with Braille, we do them on the OCE Flatbed so we can hit the letters with multiple passes so the ink builds up to makes it "feel".

Can't help with braille, but when I lived in the Bay Area I did a lot of stuff in Chinese and I ended up having to buy a new font set (and you had to do a keyboard command to switch over to use it) and a translation service that would assist with typesetting. There are specialists, and based on my experience, it's worth using them.
Great Scott!!

Tracy

Yes it seems like there are different braille fonts
and you cannot type a hyphen or arrows in braille
the entire sign will be raised so they can feel the arrow

I'm just going to use the Regular braille font it seems the most typical
also a braille keyboard would be the way to go to get the characters
but this is simple text and numbers so I think I'm ok

Thanks Guys!
I really don't want to learn anything anymore, but it was interesting.  :)

Tracy

Got through that pretty good!
It was pretty interesting
maybe I can pursue working with Braille when I'm done with printing.
seems it could be rewarding

Just don't rush into it blindly.

Yeah, it's good to get a feel for it first.

Tracy, I'm sure you would be an excellent pupil.

Wow, these jokes get cornea and cornea.

Was that a little too highbrow? I deserve 50 lashes. Iris I could stop.

I'm having a ball.

Some say I have a good sense of (vitreous) humor that lens itself to these puns.
