one time there were so many burns on a plate
I continued burning the plate the 2nd shift guy started I was on 3rd
well a burn got missed and it got on press, my fault since I was the last to burn.
I wouldn't share burns after that. ;D

Quote from: born2print on May 16, 2025, 12:35:52 PMMaybe, we have a stacker after the (not) processor and we don't use it as intended, we pull plates off in real time, then slip-sheet them with taped corners in thick corrugated folders and deliver them to the pressroom.
I call it "spoon feeding".
;D oh yeah, I don't make plates anymore, I was process-less before I stopped making plates

I do not miss the chemicals!! Although cleaning processors was like therapy for me! I loved it.

Interesting do you plate in a certain order so the plates
the pressroom needs is on top?

I can see how this could be a problem

Seeing is so important that it takes up more than 50% of the brain's functionality.

Got through that pretty good!
It was pretty interesting
maybe I can pursue working with Braille when I'm done with printing.
seems it could be rewarding

Yes it seems like there are different braille fonts
and you cannot type a hyphen or arrows in braille
the entire sign will be raised so they can feel the arrow

I'm just going to use the Regular braille font it seems the most typical
also a braille keyboard would be the way to go to get the characters
but this is simple text and numbers so I think I'm ok

Thanks Guys!
I really don't want to learn anything anymore, but it was interesting.  :)

Has anyone done a Sign with Braille?
I found a braille font but it looks like you can't type a hyphen
I have 27 signs and they are the signs that say 223-227 with an arrow pointing which way to go
can you type an arrow in braille?

Going to ask cust questions but thought I would figure out the basics first
might be obvious but the braille will be raised

pdfs seem to be getting bigger and crappier!  ;D

I only have a few more years to go, so the thrill is kind of gone
