What is going on with Acrobat Pro?
when I go to help check for updates there is an error message "can't update try later"

What is the newest version? and where can I get it?

I am kind of out the loop on Creative Cloud but used to be...under your Creative Cloud account you could un-install Acrobat and then re-install it which would give you the latest version.

As far as the error you are getting...did you turn off auto updates for Acrobat? If you did that could possibly be why you are getting that error now. Like I said though I am really out of the loop in the Adobe world. I do have Acrobat DC reader installed but never have issues with it. ;D

For Adobe Suite, you have to have the Creative Cloud app installed, and you can check for updates from there. I don't know what the latest version of DC is, because IT never lets us update on our own. All the computers here are Windows 10 Enterprise, and IT pushes updates only when they see fit. We usually get an email that tells us when we can update, and then we have to go to CC or Software Center and let it install, but they block us doing it on our own.
I don't feel tardy...

Unless that has changed since I retired the updates for Acrobat were never through the CC app. Always either auto updated in the dead of night or you had to go to the help menu to check for updates.

I can verify Joe, that Acrobat updates are through the app itself and not through the CC app. And now it is setup to auto update, unless you go into the settings and change it.

Because Adobe doesn't care if you come into work some morning and Pitstop no longer works. >:(

Ok I do have auto updates off, I will try turning it on and updating
I use to update through creative cloud, you can no longer do that

I can uninstall from there but not sure if I can reinstall, that was a good tip
I will put that in my pocket  ;D

Acrobat has never updated via the CC app. It was either auto update in the dead of night or update through Acrobat.

Back in my day you could uninstall/reinstall via the CC app. I doubt that has changed.

;D really?
I have false memories ;D

Joe

You may have been prompted to update Acrobat before but that was coming from Acrobat. Not the CC app.

Bad news about the memory. It only gets worse. :o
