Title: Embedded ICC Profiles
Post by: Stiv on November 30, 2011, 06:55:39 AM
Am I correct that Rampage v10.6 strips the ICC profiles and does not apply the ICC profile when RIPping?

Rampage has it's own ICC that is a separate option for purchase.

When I apply ICC profiling, I always assumed that once embedded it applied the color shifts pre-RIP stage, so the RIPped data would reflect this. I've always seen the profile do it's work prior to RIP, so I don't think Rampage strips it when ironing that data down for plating. But I don't know. I'll email Peter Gorgone and find out the answer.

OK. Got an answer... Rampage 10 and 11 ignore the ICC tag entirely.
QuoteVersion 12 can honor tag, ignore tag, or, I believe, apply a different one.
