Next session is January 7th at 4pm Central European time.
We'll also record the session and send it to all those who registered.

We'll also add the URL to the PitStop user group on Linkedin.

Here's the link for registration in case anyone is interested. http://bit.ly/pitstopjanuaryworkshop

Today's webinar was pretty good!
The pitstop edit form tool was interesting.
It's the one that looks like dashed box with an arrow.
He had a spot transparency that didn't show transparency in the inspector
but when he click on it with that tool it did.

Cleared up the AND and OR for me too.

Yup! Much thanks to ABC

and remember, you can watch recordings if you can't make the 7am webex

Emails just went out with the link to the recording. Also included an invite to a 'sneak peak ' of the next PitStop version.

If you want to get involved you can register for all upcoming sessions on this link. http://bit.ly/12monthsofPitStopWorkshops

One other point. We are always looking for content for these sessions, so if there is anything you want covered just let me know. If you have sample files that we can use to illustrate issues that's even better. The whole concept is about helping you get more out of your investment in PitStop.

This last session is the 12th in the series so we have 12 hours of workshops on the Official PitStop user group on Linkedin available for download. What I also do is add timelined agendas so you can jump straight to the part that's interesting for you.

Today's webinar was about spot colors and color spaces
LAB spot is still perplexing to me, but I'll keep learning!

do you guys preflight for LAB Spot when you have to convert to cmyk?
I just convert, haven't had any issues yet.

actually I just convert and don't even look for the alternate color space
is this bad?

Oh and I heard pitstop will have the current pantone library in the near future

Joe

Hey I was there and I didn't see you!

We do not check spots for LAB values as Prinergy is not yet using them so it still converts them to the old values. I'm sure we'll get bitten sooner or later though.

I got bit by this. It was a spot color job that used a new color so prinergy will still have the separation with the right number when you plate it but in the proofs it just shows up as white. I forget how I sorted it but it's possible.

Hi all, Happy New Year.

Glad to see you are enjoying the webinars. If you have any ideas or topics you would like covered in the next one either post them or PM me.

Joe

Probably not worthy of a full webinar but I'd sure like someone to explain to me how these boxes work. They are illogical to the CPU in my brain and have yet to figure out how they work.
