Ergonis Software® today released KeyCue™ 4.0, the company's popular menu shortcut cheat sheet.

Up to now, KeyCue was simply a cheat sheet for menu shortcuts, providing an overview of the currently available menu shortcuts. The new version brings menu shortcuts to life by making them clickable. This is a major step forward in unveiling the full power of menu shortcuts and boosting productivity of both novice and experienced users. Besides, KeyCue 4.0 is ready for the soon-to-come Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

The productivity paradox of menu shortcuts is that shortcuts were designed to increase productivity. However, productivity actually decreases when applications provide large numbers of shortcuts, in particular when the shortcuts are defined inconsistently across applications.

KeyCue's elegantly simple solution is to detect and display an instant overview of all shortcuts, i.e., the overall functionality of any application. The new version 4.0 goes even one step further by making the items in the KeyCue window clickable. This makes shortcuts instantly executable by clicking them while browsing the KeyCue window.

"KeyCue is for menu shortcuts what PopChar is for special characters. A simple and unobtrusive utility that makes your daily work easier and automatically enhances your productivity," said Christoph Reichenberger, founder and CEO of Ergonis Software. "With the new version we are happy to deliver the number one customer-requested feature and to take the productivity boost to the next level."

KeyCue has already received many awards, including a 4.5-Mice award in the August 2006 edition of MacWorld magazine."
