can someone help us? we would like to connect between our mac and linux system.

Joe

Connect to Server under the "Go" menu and then type in smb://ip of Linux box   (maker sure the smb part is lower case)

Assuming you have setup smb correctly and have a folder shared with proper permissions and have created an smb user on the Linux box.

Or if you want to share the other direction you will need to enable file sharing on the Mac in the Sharing System Preference. Make sure to click the options button and check the box for "Share files and folders using SMB". Then Linux should see the Mac in it's Network browser.
