Weird file. All of your text is gray according to Pitstop but when viewing the seps it showing as being in all colors. Using the Acrobat 9 convert color as shown in the attached file worked for me though and converted everything to grayscale so it only shows in the black separation.

Oh, and ya... all same workflow. We have an basic PDF workflow.
No Rampage or whatever... we hand preflight and fix every file.
All inhouse stuff CS5

this was a publisher file, but customer always makes PDF and sends it to us.
been same for years... never an issue.
I use acrobat 8.

did what Joe showed with Acrobat X on new imac. It worked!! thanks... but ya Weird file. Gotta double check everything?
Now... Cuz it worked .

(But, Joe ..did the text in the bottom left box get a stroke around it... when you did it???)

Look @ page 2... Bottom left, added a stroke?? Real weird... Can fix with pitstop. But like said now got double check all.
So i linked the whole book. incase someone sees anything else weird?

Nope. No stroke on the file I fixed.

PS: It's easy to remove the stroke if you've got Pitstop though.

I use acrobat 8.

No chance of 'moving on'...?   :undecided:  8 was not nice, but you've obviously been living with it OK.
