Are you only using it as plain old 8.5" x 11" B&W Laser printer?

We bought a renewed HP Laserjet 5200 to get the 11 x 17 size. Here is one

and one HP LaserJet 5200 N 5200N 11X17 Printer (Renewed) for $678.99.

You pay a premium for that 11 x 17 size.

My old trusty 13 x 19 Xante finally bit the dust. Used it for proofs. Boss won't get me a replacement. I'm going thru a Xerox now.
