Is it possible to tell what the font is supposed to be in a Power Point file? I got one to produce as a sign job for our sign shop, and it previews in Mac OS as a serif'd font, but Zamzar converts it to Courier (technically serif'd, but the preview looks more like Times), and when I open it in PowerPoint it changes to Verdana. I have no screenshot and no printout or pdf to compare to.

Lately, when I open a pdf, the print screen pops up. It's a minor annoyance, but I can't find the preference to turn off this option.

Also, before a new file opens, it shows the last opened file until the new one finishes opening up. Again, annoying.

This new shop, where I am now entrenched "permanently," has an EX1000 Fiery 10 running a Xerox 1000 color digital press. Creating a new paper profile, and then calibrating it and creating an alignment profile is easy.... but getting CWS to recognize that new paper? It just doesn't. How to do this, plz?

For the time being, I have no choice but to struggle through the day using Windows 10, and it is frustrating to say the least. Someday I'll get a Mac again, but for now it is what it is. Is there a way to force Windows 10 to display previews of AI and PS images? I have tried a few third-party options, but they don't do what I need them to do. Also, is there a way to create a fixed sidebar that doesn't move around? Mine keeps reflecting open folders, etc and I have to keep scrolling back up to get where I need to be.

Does anyone have a Windows 10 driver for the Speedsetter 300 x2?

I know the traditional way to encrypt a PDF with password, restrict/low res printing, etc., but I have a twist...

Is there a way to write a PDF directly from ID/Illy/PS to encrypt it with predetermined security in 1-step? I know I can make a .ps file and drop it on the Distiller and have it encoded with security, but it's still 2 steps (make the ps and distill it). Trying to minimize the effort here...

Right now, the templates display as icons. I know this can be changed to seeing just the text. I can't figure out how to change this! Anyone know?

The fucker here did something on Photoshop so that when you use the cropping tool, it only makes squares. I know you can use the box tool to draw the shape and then apply a crop, but I just want the cropping tool to work where you can stretch it to any rectangular shape and not just a fucking square. HELP!

Ok... I'm still working trying to get this new (old) shop up to speed, and it's a Windows 10 box with CC2019 saving files to some kind of NAS/Linux external drive... I physically don't know where the thing is... Anyway the point is, from Acrobat ONLY, I can't edit a file and save it. It FORCES me to rename the file before saving it. I can't save it over the existing name. Any ideas? I have no idea how this guy was doing his job.... maybe that's why he went insane and bailed...

I have to work at the other shop, and his whole system is a mess. How do I enable the "classic" look when saving a file?

Long story short, we bought another print shop a few weeks or a month or so back and one of the employees hasn't adjusted well. Thursday night he quit at midnight and stole a bunch of shit, including the delivery van. Friday we went over and basically took the van back and recovered what we could. I have to go work in that shop this week to clean up the mess, but they have Freeform which I've never used before. How is it different from CWS?

I can't find the post now, but someone here posted about Zamzar, which works awesome, but they have recently dropped free file conversion down from 5 a day to only 2, and I don't think I use it enough to warrant a subscription. Does anyone know of any other free file conversion website that works as well? Mostly I convert Microsoft Office stuff to pdf.

I've got a possibly dumb question...

One of my NAS devices at home has a 2TB drive that has failed. I had configured it as a RAID 2 so my data is preserved. The drive was a 5400. Can I replace it with a 7200 or higher, or SSD? Or can a device be specific to a particular rpm spec? I tried to look up the manual online at work, but it doesn't say. What happens if I replace a 2TB drive with a 4TB drive? Can a device max out on storage capability? It's external, so I don't think it's limited to Windows limitations, but I am running 64-bit 10 if that matters.

I am recreating a sign for an apartment complex for their swimming pool. It has one of those emergency sections with CPR images on it. I thought they bought a sign to attach to what we created, but they don't want to attach it, and if we *copy* it we have to change it by 25%. Does anyone have images similar to this, but NOT these images that I can use? see attachment

Our Roland VS640 sensor that reads the registration marks quit working. The tech showed us how to clean the lens once but we forgot and we're trying to save the $200 service call charge. Anyone know how to do this?

Lately, InDesign keeps launching on my second monitor, behind all my tools. I manually move it back over to my main screen and it'll stay for a few times, but then I come back the next day and it opens up on the second screen again. It's a minor inconvenience (read: 1st world problem), but WTF Adobe? Why can't it just open the same way every time?

Suddenly, at 10 am this morning ALL version of CWS 5 (5.7, 5.8, etc.) on multiple machines in our shop stopped working simultaneously. We can run 6, but it sucks. This happen to anyone else?
