I once had an Italian-American boss who claimed to be offended by Burger King's Whopper.

when I was younger and was called a Prepress Manager...

they changed our titles to Supervisor because of the word "Man" was derogatory to women.

this was back when sexual harrasment was all the rage (it was the anti programs we all had to go through for our Management Training).
Very similar to what you are having to sit through Digi.

I got an email recently; an invoice from PayPal saying that my payment was declined. Obviously it was phony, because I don't have a PayPal account. I have told the old people in my life to ignore all of that stuff. Who's still falling for these scams?

I am doing an implicit bias training course online right now, and I DO realize the insensitivity behind MASTER pages, but that's what CWS calls them. They really need to change the name the name to SHELL or do like InDesign and change it to PARENT.

Usually if you stick to well-known vendors, they don't play dirty with their customers' info, including e-mail, although customer lists are a legit way for them to make more moolah. I very rarely deal with a new company I've never heard of for that reason. Sometimes, though, you just can't stop the crap. Spam is the least of the damage they can do, so it's just having common-sense vigilance.

I once had some company charging me around $7 a month for some subscription to some diet program of theirs I never heard of. It was obviously crooked, as each month the charge was listed under a different category, such as florist, books, etc. I guess they depended on getting a lot of card numbers and charging a small amount they hoped nobody would notice. I got the charge removed each month until they gave up.

Order from here and see if they can overnight it. It's only about 6-8 hours from San Diego. And no, Sierra Nut House is not an asylum.

If quality is of any concern, I wouldn't compress anything. What I might do, in a rare pinch, is make two files. One that is an all raster pdf not compressed, and one that is all vector pdf. Drop both files into Command Workstation and impose them both identically. Then, make the raster file a MASTER and treat the vector file as an IMPRINT. CWS will process the file much more quickly in this fashion and you won't lose quality.

ZIP is a lossless compression if you use the maximum quality setting so it should not degrade anything.
